Gottfried Nature Center

The Gottfried Nature Center Land was donated to the Wyandot Soil and Water Conservation District by Norman and Chuck Gottfried in 1992. The Education Building was constructed in 1996 to offer the community a better understanding of agriculture, conservation and the preservation of natural resources. The nature center consists of over 20 acres that includes the education building, wetland, stage, picnic shelter and much more.

The Wyandot SWCD offers a variety of different agricultural educational programs to all ages. See our Education Programs Guide for more information on available programs. Our Education Building is available for use for Schools, 4-H Groups, Scouts, Adult Education Groups, Teachers, etc.

The Gottfried Nature Center is open daily to the public from dawn to dusk. For more information and building availability, call (419) 294-2312.
