Our Mission

Solid Waste Management District and Recycling Center SignThe Wyandot County Solid Waste Management District is dedicated to serving the residents of Wyandot County. Along with providing information on solid waste activities, we also support various recycling programs and provide educational presentations for audiences of all ages. We are very active within the community and rely heavily on public input and feedback to design our programs. We are committed to reducing landfill reliance and increasing recycling rates within Wyandot County.

Who We Are

The Wyandot County Board of Commissioners established the Wyandot County as a single county District on March 13, 1989 and the Wyandot County Solid Waste Management District was formed on April 27, 1989. The Wyandot County Solid Waste Management District serves Wyandot County residents through the creation and implementation of the Wyandot County Solid Waste Management Plan. The Wyandot County Solid Waste Management District operates the Wyandot County Recycling Center, provides local recycling drives and business routes, and supports local curbside programs.

Our Team

The Wyandot County Solid Waste Management District has eleven employees that are dedicated to providing the highest quality of customer service and support for all the businesses and residents of Wyandot County.

We also have an educational specialist who is available for community outreach and educational opportunities. We have programs for local schools as well as organizations and businesses that express an interest in learning more about recycling.

Our staff is committed to making the recycling process as convenient as possible for everyone in the community.
