Sheriff Sales are held at 9 a.m. on Mondays on the main floor of the Wyandot County Courthouse. All sales are published in the Friday issue of the Daily Chief Union or the Wednesday issue of the Progressor Times in the Legal Section of the classifieds. The status of a sale can change at any time right up to the time of the sale.
A deposit of 10% of the bid is due at the time of the sale. All payments are payable in cash or certified checks. No Company Letters of Credit, Credit Card or Debit Card accepted. The balance of the amount bid is due and payable upon confirmation of the sale and delivery of deed. Failure to pay for a property bid at the auction will result in contempt of court charges being filed against the purchaser. Any delinquent water & sewer bills may be the responsibility of the purchaser. All property sold at a Sheriff's sale is sold on an "as is" basis and there is no warranty or guarantee. The Wyandot County Sheriff's Office is not responsible to determine and makes no representation regarding whether the property is free of liens. The appraisal may be an "outside" appraisal only.
